Sydney Criminal Lawyers® is a multi-award winning law firm with a growing number of staff and locations.
We are seeking brilliant criminal defence lawyers and first class administrative staff who are able to deliver exceptional service and outcomes to our valued clients.
Our workplace is challenging and many of the cases we accept are extremely serious, difficult and complex. There is a high volume of work and the pressure can be intense.
The standards we set for ourselves are high – we are not your average, ‘run of the mill’ law firm that places profits ahead of results – in fact, we recognise that monetary goals can adversely affect client service and outcomes, and unlike many other firms we do not impose ‘budgets’ that our lawyers are required to meet.
We do, however, demand the highest quality legal service for each and every client.
We work as a team and strive to achieve outstanding results, and our exceptionally high standards are reflected in our unparalleled record of client reviews (including Google reviews and testimonials on our site), our case results and our awards – including recognition as the ‘Criminal Defence Firm of the Year in Australia’ by a number of prestigious awards programs for several years running.
We are currently accepting applications for:
A criminal defence lawyer with at least two years of post admission experience, who possesses a strong work ethic and a proven track record of undertaking exceptional work in serious and complex criminal cases such as commercial drug cases, serious assaults, sexual assaults and murder / intent to murder / manslaughter.
Some experience in corporate crime and complex fraud cases is preferred.
It is essential to have an in-depth knowledge of criminal law, practice and procedure, and substantial experience in formulating and implementing strategies which lead to charges being withdrawn / dismissed, by undertaking independent groundwork and harnessing investigators and various experts, not simply waiting for and responding to briefs of evidence. Will be guided and assisted by the the principal who is vastly experienced in that regard.
The successful candidate will also be significantly experienced in independently conducting a range of advocacy, from local court bail applications, pleas and hearings to district court sentencing matters, severity and conviction appeals, and supreme court bail applications.
The remuneration is commensurate with relevant experience and proven ability.
