Vanessa Svosve

Vanessa Svosve is an experienced criminal defence lawyer who is committed to achieving exceptional outcomes for those going through difficult times in their lives, with understanding, empathy and compassion.

Vanessa was employed in a range of fields including Local Government, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and the Tasmanian Audit Office where her exposure to the workings of those in power highlighted the need to fight for the vulnerable, specifically those facing the might of authority.

She completed her law degree and commenced employment as a defence lawyer during which time her professionalism, dedication to clients, meticulous preparation and persuasive courtroom advocacy were recognised throughout the profession.

Vanessa’s forensic approach to complex situations and resulting ability to develop and implement effective case strategies cases has enabled her to consistently achieve outstanding results in a range of criminal and traffic law cases, from assaults, AVOs, drink and drug driving to serious cases tried in the higher courts.
