Nowra is a city located in the South Coast Region of New South Wales, approximately 125 km from Sydney.

The courthouse is located near Marriott Park on Plunkett Street and also accommodates the District Court for the area. The building which was opened in March of 1896 was designed by Walter Liberty Vernon and built George Brewer.

Regular train services depart from Sydney to Nowra.
