Suspended Sentence for $140,000 fraud by Executive Director

CRIMINAL CASE

Sydney Criminal Lawyers® obtained a 12 month ‘Suspended Sentence’ for 64 year old executive director who committed 62 frauds totaling more than $140,000 over a 5 year period.

The case is reported in the Daily Telegraph newspaper: see Executive Stole from the Salvation Army

The result was obtained through intense negotiations which reduced the number of fraud charges and the sum defrauded.

Sydney Criminal Lawyers® persuasively presented our client’s case to the Magistrate in Downing Centre Local Court, who agreed that a ‘suspended sentence’ was an appropriate penalty.

Our client had been expecting a lengthy prison sentence.
