Penalty for Sexual Intercourse Young Person Between 16 and 18 Under Special Care | Section 73 Crimes Act NSW

The maximum penalty for the offence of “sexual intercourse young person between 16 and 18 under special care” is 4 years in prison where the young person was at least 17 but less than 18 years of age, or 8 years in prison where the young person was at least 16 but less than 17 years of age.

  • Community Correction Order: 8%

The average prison sentence for the offence is 19 months imprisonment, and the average non-parole period (or minimum prison term that must be served) is 15 months in prison.
