Penalty for Possessing Explosive to Destroy Property | Section 200 Crimes Act NSW

The maximum penalty for the offence of “possessing explosive to destroy property” is 3 years in prison. Where the object is an explosive, the maximum penalty is 7 years’ imprisonment.

According to the Judicial Commission of NSW, the actual penalties imposed for the offence are as follows:

  • Community Correction Order: 66.67%
  • Intensive Correction Order: 33.33%
